The tax that no one thinks about.

•December 19, 2011 • 1 Comment

The title makes you think the government takes some sort of percentage from your wage, or some side percentage through sales or property. however, the tax I am speaking about is inflation.  that is right, inflation.

Lets say you start off with ten dollars, and those ten dollars are equal to ten silver dollars.  Lets say ten people are put in a room then told to do work. Four people work hard, and earn eight of those dollars among them, while two work slow,  thus only getting one each.   the last four do nothing, and complain that they didn’t get a thing.  Instead of saying  “sorry you should have worked.”   The ones holding the dollars decide to print more dollars, and hand out two dollars to those who didn’t work, then give another to those who worked less. Those who worked the hardest still got only two dollars.   Did the one’s who worked the hardest get taxed?  The answer is yes.   the value of the dollars that the people who produced went down,  It now takes two dollars to purchase one silver coin, so they had a fifty percent tax to pay for those who didn’t work. Now lets say the one who makes the money prints more money to pay for other things, such as giving money to companies, (too big to fail)  or they hand money to Europe to help them out of debt. The problem is,  those people in the room still hold two dollars each, thus making the value go down again.   now they  can’t even afford one coin.  the more and more they lower the value of the dollar,  the less those who hold that dollar can purchase.  The government is essentially taxing you every time they print more money without adding assets to back up that dollar.

Back in the fifties a burger was around five cents,  a cup of coffee cost a penny, and you could buy a house for under five thousand dollars.  most people think “Well people get paid more these days as well.”   sure you get paid more, but what about your savings?  Lets say you are saving money in the bank, and you have a thousand dollars.  The more and more the government inflates the money, the less and less you can buy with that thousand dollars.   Thus, the government is taking your value away without you doing anything, except keep it in the bank.  sure you might get a few percentage points here and there with interest, but it is still fighting against inflation.  if there was no interest your money would slowly go down and down in value while staying at the same dollar amount.  Why do you think everyone says property is a good long term investment? The reason is that you have something solid, and tangible.  Essentially, you have something to trade.  Remember this the next time you hear the federal reserve is printing money to pay for this or that.

The one thing you need to worry about is government interference with your property whether that be a house or hard currency such as coins and other items of value. The housing bubble is one clear example.   The government said.  “Everyone should have a house.”  So they forced banks to loan money, backed by the government.  (which they just printed out of their asses) Thus making more buyers than sellers.  The prices of homes artificially went up,  causing the value to go up higher than what the homes should have cost.   What happened?  those who bought high, got taxed again, because the value of thier house dropped drastically,  Thus the government interference caused the owners to pay more than what they should have for that same house, which essentially was a tax.  plus the government helps the banks by buying all those homes no one could pay for.  Where did they get that money?  that is right taxes.

To put it simple,  It does not matter how many dollars you have,  It matters what you can buy with those dollars.   II your dollar is worth less tomorrow,  you were taxed.  Save a thousand dollars, and see what you can buy today,  then see if you can buy those same things next year.

Thank you and good night.

Supply and Demand

•October 9, 2010 • 1 Comment

I have been listening to talk show hosts on both the right and the left.   On siriusxm they have both a right and left radio station which makes it kind of easy for someone to hear both points of view whenever they wish.  I decided long ago that I would look at everything with an open mind, and not believe anything anyone told me, without looking it up myself.  I have come to my own personal conclusion, that no one on the Left understands the simple concept of Supply and Demand.

First off,  When a person walks into a store looking for a product they create a demand for that product.   The more people looking for the product, the more demand.  The price is determined by the supply of the certain product compared to the demand.   More supply and less demand means lower prices.  More demand than supply means higher prices.  Now lets suppose everyone with money wants a loaf of bread.   That loaf is priced at the level determined by how many people want that bread, and how much bread is available.  Now suppose we add about ten percent more people into the pile using food stamps.   What happens to the price of the bread?  It goes up, because now the supply is less, because of the extra demand.   When a tax payer goes to buy that bread, they essentially pay a much higher price for that bread, because they have to deal with all three cost adjustments.  they pay the taxes, food price, and the extra cost because of more demand.  The person on food stamps doesn’t care either way, because the other guy paid for the bread.

What I described above, Is a simple reflection of the concept of supply and demand.   The same goes  for houses, cars, and anything out in the free market.   Whenever the government gets involved with the purchase sale and cost of a product, It does more harm than good in the end.

Here is another example.  Lets say a company makes a drug that cures cancer.   The company who makes the drug looks at the cost and determines that each pill will be ten dollars.   everyone with ten dollars and cancer buy the pill.    the government walks in and says “what about the people with only 8 dollars?  we will put a two dollar tax to help supplement them so they can buy the pill.   Now, The drug company sets the price at ten, Because it covers thier expenses.  Now, If the government adds a 2 dollar tax, They will just raise the pill to twelve, to cover the expenses.   Again the goverment raises the tax, and yet again, the company raises the price.  the government can not tell the company to freeze the price, because no one will make the pill.  What happens in the end?  The government artificially raises the prices, making it impossible for even more people to afford the drug that they once could afford when it was at 10 dollars.   This is why a FREE market, without government control is the best system.   Sure you can have laws to protect people from fraud and other such things, but the government should never be involved in the direct supply or demand of  products and services.

I know what a bunch of Lib-tards are saying right now.  “What?  You want people to starve without food stamps?”  No I don’t, But the people are on the food stamps, Because of government intervention.   The housing market crash is a perfect example. The government told the banks that they HAD to make more home loans, Even when no one could afford them.  The idea made all the people in Washington feel all warm and fuzzy, because people were getting homes.   Now most of those houses are being repossessed, and the same damn people who forced the banks to make the loans, are now mad at the banks for the repossessions.  IF YOU WOULD NOT HAVE FORCED THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED!  This is what happens when we put people into office, who have never ran a business in their lives.   They do not understand how the system works, and they just do what SOUNDS good to them.  Instead they should be doing what is right for the country.   They make decisions not based on facts and reason, but on feelings.    This is the main reason they feel that socialism is such a great idea.   If they knew any better they would clearly see that socialism sounds lovey dovey, But is completely impossible due to human nature.

I read this quote the other day on another website.   “Communism and Socialism are two of the most perfect forms of goverment known to man.   Only, Man will never accept them, Because it does not allow freedom to get ahead of the next guy.”   People might disagree, but think about it a second.   How many people try and race someone whenever they are at a light, or going to the same place at the same time?  People will try and get ahead on the freeway, just be be ahead of the next guy, even though they are going to the same place.   This is the built in nature of man striving for more.   In socialism, It limits how much an individual can advance, and communism doesn’t even allow them to start.

I heard a doctor say this on the radio today. “Who will want to work hard ,When the government will pay them anyway?  Why would anyone want to be a doctor, If they know they will make as much as the man in the factory?  Why should I spend the extra years of my life learning, When there is no benefit to me and my family.   Socialism is a cancer, that will eat away at the core of the country, and it will cause it to rot like all the others around the world.”

I agreed with this man, and I can see it happening already.   These liberals want one world government, currency, and even language.  With them in charge we won’t be a third world country,  we will be a third world world.     Andrew Wilkow on Siriusxm Right, says a very true statement.   “Socialism is for the people, not the socialist.”   Do you think the people starting all these programs, and pushing us into socialism will live like us?   Look at their bank accounts, and you will have your answer.   I don’t hear anyone complaining about an actor making 15 million to act in a two hour movie.  Most of the liberal congress men  and woman, are some of the richest in the House and Senate.  Funny thing is, They got rich after going to Washington.  I thought there was a standard wage for our representatives?

In closing,  I do not side with the big R’s either, Because they allowed all this crap to happen.   All of them are fools, and need to be kicked out, R and D alike.   Lets see what happens in a few weeks.

I was looking through the top posts on Word-press, and found that most have to do with Hollywood and singers.  What is wrong with everyone?  Why are people so fascinated by these morons in Hollywood?  Most are into drugs, and are dumber than doorknobs.   In the old days people cared more about real life things, such as the neighbors, and their community.  Now, no one knows anything about thier neighbors, and what is happening in their community.  No wonder why our country is going down into the dumps.

I have an idea….lets stop idolizing people who pretend to be someone they are not.   Lets idolizing those who actually deserve our loyalty and attention.  Lets idolize those young men and women of the military who VOLUNTEER to put their lives on the line for our freedoms.   How many actors would do the same?  Most talk about leftists points of view,  but they make money on the free market.   Most actors want  social programs, but it is alright for them to make millions for one two hour movie.

It always cracks me up, when I hear these rock bands saying to help the poor and needy, Then they charge sixty five dollars for a concert ticket while living in large mansions.   The only person I will ever idolize, is someone who puts their money where their mouth is.   Till then, Hollywood is only a bunch of people acting and not doing.

Are people so messed up in their own lives, that they have to watch someone else to feel better? If so,  it is time that they get some help, instead of watching American Idol.   Maybe if people would talk to their kids, instead of watching the boob tube, They might realize they are growing up to be morons without any personal responsibility.   Time to understand,  The world does not revolve around Hollywood, nor these fools in pop culture.  Get out, talk to people, and stop becoming  brain dead fools.

The Tale of Two Dogs

•September 13, 2010 • 1 Comment

Imagine  a dog named Rex.  That dog has a master whose name is Capitalism.  Now Capitalism wants Rex to do tricks.  If the dog does tricks, he gets a treat.   So Rex goes out and learns all sorts of tricks, and starts to receive a lot of treats.   Because he works out so much, he does not need to worry about his weight one bit.   He does tricks he gets treats, and does not have to worry about food.

Now here comes a second master called Government.   Government says to Rex “If you give me two of your treats a day,  I’ll make a fence, so no one harms you, or tries to steal your treats.”

Rex thinks this is an excellent idea, So he gives over a couple of treats a day.  For a while, everything is running fine, and things are looking up.  Capitalism gives Rex plenty of treats, because he is the best at his ticks.  Other dogs try his tricks, but they can not do a flip as well as him, or roll in just the right way.

Now later on down the road Government gets bored or tired of only making a fence, and dog house.  He decides he wishes to have his own dog. He finds one of these dogs, who do not perform the tricks as well, and tells them he will be there master.   At first the dog is scared of the new master, but when the master starts giving him teats from the pile he received from Rex, soon he realizes he does not have to do a thing for the treats.

Rex looks at the new dog called Spot, and growls at him for not doing any tricks for the treats he is getting.   Spot asks him if he should starve, or be left out to the pound?  Rex  grumbles, and walks back to his yard.  As time goes on, Government says…  “I’ll need three treats a day now, because i want to make some more things in the yard.”   Rex is not sure why, but he likes his home and yard, so he gives three treats a day.   Soon that three becomes four, and then five.    After a while, Rex realizes he has half the treats he had previously.   He complains to Government, and Government points a fat Spot still eating treats without any work.   “So you want Spot to die?  Are you that evil?”

“No i only want Spot to do tricks, so I do not have to do them for him.”   Rex answers.

“You are mean, and evil, because you are not willing to share your treats.”  Spot says trying to make Rex feel ashamed.  Of course, Spot is on Government’s side because he feeds Spot without having to do tricks.   Finally, Rex gives up and walks back to his yard.

Soon Government picks up another dog who does not want to do ticks, and another after that.   They are all given a fair amount, but it is not even close to what they would get if they had done tricks for Capitalism.

Finally, when Rex is old, he asks for help from Government, because he was unable to save any treats, due to Government taking most of them.  Government says “you will get less than Spot because you made so much in your lifetime.”

“But most of those treats are mine anyway.  I was the one doing tricks all these years.  Why do not i get as much as Spot?” Rex complains.

“You are selfish, and so to pay for your food, we will take that dog house and fence you earned.  You will now live with all the other dogs who defy Government.”   So in his old age Rex ends up living in poverty just like all the other dogs around him.   Soon more and more dogs hear it is better to  be lazy and not do tricks, because “Hey the treats are free.”    Only Rex knows that soon, no dogs will be doing tricks, and  Capitalism will be gone.   When that happens, there will be no treats, and a bunch of starving dogs asking.  “Where did the all the treats go?”  Only a couple of dogs that were called Government, sat fat, and full of treats inside of  a large white dog house on the hill.  Little did the others know, they wanted all the other dogs to become dependant upon them.  Now they Fed all the Pitbulls and other cruel dogs so that they could keep the other dogs under their command.   the Government dogs now said “everyone is equal now and so you must be happy.”   Most were not happy and wished to get feed more and have their own homes.   Eventually, even the treats that the Government stored away would run out.

Spot came to Rex hungry and whining.   “I am so hungry Rex.  Why isn’t the Government giving us treats?”

“Because it is not the Government who makes the treats.  Capitalism makes the treats, and now it is gone.  Government is only good for building fences to protect us, and that is all.  They even stopped that, and now we are all hungry without treats.”

Tricks is work of course, and treats are money.  We are in for a dictatorship without freedom and rights, If people continue to allow the government to take from those who work hard, and give it to those who could work, but are lazy.    Socialists will always use the phrase.  “You are mean, because you want people to starve.”   They convince people that they deserve to be taken care of by the government.  What they do not tell everyone, is from where the money comes.   I remember seeing a video of women standing at polling booths up by Chicago.   The reporter asked them who they were voting for.

“Obama.”  one of the women said happily.  “He is going to help me pay off my home and car.”

“How is he going to help you pay for that?”  the reporter asked.

“With money.”   she said as though it were obvious.

“Yes, but where does that money come from?”  the reporter asked her.

“I don’t know,  his secret stash or something.”   she, and all the ladies around her started to laugh, thinking that was so cute.

Obama said just the other day, that people were treating him like a dog.   I say he is treating all of us like the dogs I just described above.  He is the fat dog laughing in the Whitehouse, while slowly the rest of us become the starving dogs, trying to do Tricks for Capitalism.   I do not care what color, race, religion, or gender you are.  If we allow the Government to let this to happen, we are no better than Spot, who could have had it all by working, but decided to allow the government to ruin his life.  Eventually the money and Capitalism will be gone, then we will all be in the slums like you.
